The JaydenZ Foundation funds research for metastatic osteosarcoma and helps families access promising experimental, emerging, and out-of-state treatment options when standard therapies have been exhausted or are no longer effective.
The foundation was founded in 2026 by Cassie and Jay Zurlinden in honor of their son Jayden.
Yes. The JaydenZ Foundation is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization.
Our primary focus is metastatic osteosarcoma and other bone and soft tissue sarcomas, including rhabdomyosarcoma and Ewing sarcoma. We're also committed to research on radiation-induced cancers, including radiation-induced osteosarcoma.
Yes. Financial transparency is a commitment we're building toward publicly, so donors can always see where the money goes.
Yes. Our first public event is a press conference with Governor Mike DeWine at the Ohio Statehouse. Check our Events page for the latest details.
Travel (commercial flights, buses, and rail), lodging, meals, treatment access assistance, and bereavement assistance.
Our funding isn't unlimited yet, so we prioritize end-of-life needs for any sarcoma first, then all osteosarcoma patients, then other sarcoma patients including rhabdomyosarcoma and Ewing sarcoma.

Yes.
Every circumstance is different. What we can provide depends on our current ability to fund and how urgent the timeline is.
Our goal is to help any sarcoma family, anywhere in the U.S., with priority given to the most time-sensitive cases.
100% of what you give goes to families and to research that isn't being funded anywhere else. The general fund supports whichever need is most urgent right now. The research fund is designated toward research into safer treatments and radiation-induced cancers.
Yes. The JaydenZ Foundation is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit, so gifts are generally tax deductible to the extent allowed by law. Please check with a tax professional for guidance on your specific situation.
Yes. Both one-time and recurring gifts are supported.
Yes. Gift cards, gas cards, and other approved in-kind donations are welcome. Contact us and we'll walk you through it.
A dedicated research fund link is coming soon. Until then, all gifts go to the general fund and are used where the need is greatest, including research.
We don't have volunteer opportunities open yet, but we're building toward them. Let us know you're interested and we'll reach out when there's a role to fill.

Yes. You can run your own event or campaign benefiting the foundation. Contact us and we'll help however we can.

Cards 4 Cancer is Jayden's own charity, sending trading cards to kids battling cancer across the country. He started it while he was still in treatment.
No. Cards 4 Cancer is a separate initiative Jayden started himself, and it's still running on its own. We proudly support it and link to it, but it operates independently from the foundation.
